Jessica Bradley, a junior from Lynn University, was named the 2014 DII Woman of the Year nominee for women's golf as announced by Executive Director Chris Voelz of THE Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) presented by Honda.

She is now designated one of 11 finalists for the prestigious DII Woman Athlete of the Year honor. This will be voted on at the end of the academic year by national balloting among 1,000 NCAA member schools as part of THE CWSA program, now in its 38th year.

Bradley, a native of Bishops Nympton, England, was named the Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Division II Player of the Year becoming the first women's golfer at Lynn to be named the national player of the year. She was also named a WGCA first-team All-American after earning a second-team nod last season and was honored as the Sunshine State Conference Women's Golfer of the Year.

The top-ranked golfer in Division II, Bradley posted single-season program records for stroke average (73.27) and top-10 finishes (13) while also tying the school mark with three tournament victories. She owns the program's career record for top-10 finishes (25) and is second in career stroke average (75.47). Her season stroke average led the nation this season (73.27) and she was runner-up at the NCAA Championship while leading her team to the National title.

“I am extremely honored to be a nominee for this award,” stated Bradley. “It has been an exceptional and wonderful year for both the team and myself and would never of been possible without the support of Lynn university, Coach Randolph and all of the athletic department."

All sports nominees from DII and DIII become a finalist for the prestigious 2014 CWSA Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year in their respective divisions, presented in June. The sports nominees are recognized in 11 DII and DIII NCAA-sanctioned sports; cross country, basketball, field hockey, golf, lacrosse, soccer, softball, swimming & diving, tennis, volleyball, and track & field.

THE Collegiate Women Sports Awards has honored the nation’s top NCAA women athletes for 37 years, recognizing superior athletic skills, leadership, academic excellence and eagerness to participate in community service. Since commencing its sponsorship in 1986, Honda has provided more than $2.8 million in institutional grants to the universities of the award winners and nominees to support women’s athletics programs at the institutions.
