The 2002 winner of what was then known as the Honda-Broderick Cup is Angela Williams of the University of Southern California. The first freshman ever to win the 100-meter title at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships, Angela went on to “four-peat,” capturing the event in all four of her collegiate seasons as a Trojan. She later earned five gold and five silver medals across the World Championships, World University Games, Pan American Games and World Indoor Championships, and represented Team USA at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing. In 2024, Angela was inducted into the Collegiate Track & Field Hall of Fame.
