Bio
The 2015 winner of the Honda Cup is California swimming sensation Missy Franklin. During her collegiate career at Berkeley, Missy was a four-time NCAA individual champion in the 200-yard freestyle and set a senior-year record that remains the longest-standing mark in NCAA history. While in college, she won four gold medals at the 2012 Olympic Games in London, tying the record for the most gold medals won by a female athlete at a single Games. Missy’s stellar international career also includes a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics, six gold medals at the 2013 FINA World Championships, and 11 World Championship medals overall. Missy retired from swimming in 2018 and now focuses on motherhood and mental health advocacy.
