Bio
The 1995 winner of what was then known as the Honda-Broderick Cup is basketball superstar Rebecca Lobo, who led the UConn Huskies to the first of their now-historic 12 national championships, capping her senior season with a perfect 35-and-0 record. That season, she was the unanimous National Player of the Year and the first Big East student-athlete named a first-team All-American both athletically and academically. Rebecca went on to win Olympic gold in 1996, become a pioneer of the WNBA, and later earn induction into both the Naismith and Women’s Basketball Halls of Fame. Today, Rebecca is a leading voice in the sport as a national television analyst.
