Bio

The 1996 winner of what was then known as the Honda-Broderick Cup is Connecticut basketball star Jennifer Rizzotti who was a key leader in the Huskies’ first-ever national championship run during her junior year. As a senior, Jennifer guided Connecticut back to the Women’s Final Four and earned multiple National Player of the Year honors, along with the Frances Pomeroy Naismith Award for the nation’s top player under 5-foot-6. She later won two WNBA titles with the Houston Comets and was inducted into the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame in 2013. Jennifer was named America East Coach of the Year twice during her stint at the University of Hartford and currently serves as president of the WNBA’s Connecticut Sun.
