Bio
Olga Harvey brings 20 years of business experience and boundless passion for sports to her role as Chief Operating Officer at the Women's Sports Foundation.
Ms. Harvey joined WSF in 2017 to lead Foundation’s Athlete and Community Engagement and a year later assumed the role of Chief Strategy and Impact Officer, allowing her to apply her business acumen and strategic thinking to all WSF’s programmatic initiatives – including research, advocacy and community impact. Under her leadership, WSF strengthened its advocacy footprint; launched two fellowship programs that seek to close the gender gap in collegiate and professional coaching; developed We Play Interactive digital platform for community leaders working with girls; and expanded Foundation’s grant-making portfolio to support underserved communities, foster multi-generational connections through fitness and movement, and allow mom-athletes to compete without barriers.
Ms. Harvey’s entry into the sports and philanthropy field was at New York Junior Tennis & Learning, the largest non-profit in tennis and education for under-resourced youth in New York City. In her two years at NYJTL, she managed Marketing, Special Events and Development for the agency and led the planning of the Cary Leeds Center Stadium Courts Grand Opening Celebration. She also spearheaded the launch of FACES – family and community engagement program – focused of introducing tennis to the Hispanic community of the South Bronx.
Prior to NYJTL, Ms. Harvey worked at Daymon Worldwide, global retail brand development firm. Her experience included roles in retail, analytics, human resources, information technology, and business management. In 2006 she became company’s youngest Vice President and Officer responsible for Global Sourcing and Business Development.
A native of Moscow, Russia, Ms. Harvey received BS in Business Management and Marketing from Cornell University while playing D1 tennis. She was team captain and posted 21-0 record in conference play at #1 singles. A two-time Ivy League Player of the year, Ms. Harvey was inducted into Cornell Athletic Hall of Fame in 2006.
Ms. Harvey stayed involved in tennis by joining the United States Tennis Association. She is an avid player and volunteer, currently serving as immediate Past President of the USTA Eastern Board of Directors. She was a member of the Gatorade Women’s Board in 2022-2024 and is delighted to be joining CWSA Board in the Fall of 2025.
In 2019, Ms. Harvey was recognized as one of the notable women in the business of sports by Crain’s New York. In 2022, she was named as one of the Sports Business Journal’s Power Players in Women’s Sports.
Ms. Harvey met her husband on the basketball court, and they have two sons, both high school athletes.
