As the Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA), presented by Honda, proudly celebrates its 50th anniversary season, Executive Director Chris Voelz announced the appointment of five new board members. The CWSA Board of Directors is excited to welcome Keri Becker (Director of Athletics at Grand Valley State College), Charmelle Green (University of Utah Deputy Athletics Director, Chief Operating Officer and Senior Woman Administrator), Olga Harvey (Chief Operations Officer for the Women’s Sports Foundation), Erin McDermott (John D. Nichols ’53 Family Director of Athletics at Harvard University) and Noreen Morris (Commissioner of the Northeast Conference).

Gretchen Walsh (Nashville, Tenn.), a senior swimmer from the University of Virginia, today was named the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and honored with the prestigious Honda Cup during the 49th anniversary broadcast of the Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA) presented by Honda. The celebration aired live from CBS Studios in New York City on CBS Sports Network. Honda served as the presenting sponsor, continuing its 39-year legacy of supporting the program.
