Scane was chosen by a vote of administrators from over 1,000 NCAA member schools. Finalists included Chase Boyle (Loyola), Madison Taylor (Northwestern) and Jackie Wolak (Notre Dame).
“This award means so much to me!” stated Scane. “It is such an honor to be considered for an award with such incredible female athletes and an organization that pushes to continue to grow women's sports!”
Scane repeated as the Honda Award winner for Lacrosse and most recently was named the Tewaaraton Award winner, given to the top collegiate female lacrosse player, for the second season in a row.
