Jordan Bowers, a senior from the University of Oklahoma, has been named the Honda Sport Award winner for Gymnastics, as announced today by Chris Voelz, Executive Director of the Collegiate Women Sports Awards (CWSA).

The Honda Sport Award has been presented annually by the CWSA for the past 49 years to the top women athletes in 12 NCAA-sanctioned sports, signifying “the best of the best in collegiate athletics.” The recipient of the sport award becomes a finalist for the Collegiate Woman Athlete of the Year and the prestigious 2025 Honda Cup, which will be presented during a live telecast on CBS Sports Network on June 30, at 7 pm ET, in New York City.

Bowers was selected via a nationwide vote of administrators from over 1,000 NCAA member schools. The other finalists for this year’s award were Jade Carey (Oregon State), Audrey Davis (Oklahoma) and Aleah Finnegan (LSU).

“I am so extremely grateful to be the Honda Award Winner for the sport of gymnastics,” stated Bowers. “Winning this award is truly a dream come true and I couldn’t do it without the people who support me the most, and this incredible university I get the pleasure to represent every single day.”

“Thank you to my coaches, teammates and family members who push me to be the best version of myself every day and help me realize I am capable of things I didn’t even think I was capable of. I am so proud to be a Sooner and so grateful for every opportunity this university has given me in and out of the classroom. Huge congratulations to my fellow finalists, Audrey Davis, Jade Carey, and Aleah Finnegan; all of you are such incredible athletes and people, and I have been blessed to share this journey and be nominated for this award with all of you. You should all be so proud of yourselves and your careers as well. I am so honored to win such a prestigious award and I thank you all again. Boomer Sooner forever!”

A two-time finalist for the Honda Sports Award, Bowers captured the 2025 NCAA All-Around Championship and finished as the national runner-up on floor, helping lead the Sooners to their seventh national title. The Lincoln, Neb., native earned First Team All-America honors on all five events this season and is a 28-time All-American overall.

Bowers posted a perfect hit rate while competing in the all-around at every meet in 2025, recording 49 scores of 9.9 or higher and 23 of 9.95 or better. A two-time Conference Gymnast of the Year (Big 12 and SEC), Bowers claimed 24 event titles this season, including a team-leading nine in the all-around, and was a 2025 AAI Award finalist. She concluded the regular season ranked No. 2 nationally in the all-around and earned 16 All-Conference selections and 16 Conference Gymnast of the Week honors across two conferences.

In addition to her athletic success, Bowers also earned Academic All-Conference recognition.

The CWSA, now in its 49th year, continues to honor the nation’s top NCAA women athletes for their exceptional athletic achievements, leadership, academic excellence, and dedication to community service. Since the inception of its partnership in 1986, Honda has contributed over $3.4 million in institutional grants to support women’s athletics programs at the universities of award winners and nominees.
